Whether it’s your own honeymoon or somebody close to you, the destination is always a hot topic for discussion. And, one ends up with the usual places in the list. Well, here are some that nobody would have considered. No, we haven’t seen any lists yet!

Bwindi Forest National Park in Uganda is probably the most quirky of honeymoon destinations. If you two are outdoor enthusiasts then this is a dramatic way to celebrate. Go on a gorilla safari during day and sleep under the forest canopy at night. Stargazing around the campfire in the evening is optional.

If it’s got to be Switzerland, escape the hoi polloi at Bettmeralp. You reach the car-free village via cable car and the views of snow-capped mountains, with a glacier to boot, are free. Plus, all else that the country offers.

Do the not so normal by taking an Alaskan cruise on a small, private ship that winds in and out of the tranquil fjords and inlets
around the Alaskan coast.

You could also consider Japan for whatever takes your fancy. From busy cities to relaxed resorts, it’s all there.
