A 2½ hour flight from Los Angeles lies the Mexican beach town of Cabo San Lucas.

Then, depending upon your mood, you can have a most relaxing holiday by the beach – the resorts will spoil you silly – or you can be as active as you can. There is kayaking, big game fishing for the overtly active while a spot of whale watching isn’t too high on the “being active” chart but it does beat just lounging around.
