Uxua Casa Hotel in the south of Bahia in Brazil offers only ten private houses, called\u00a0casas<\/a>, set in a rainforest, all with five-star service.<\/p>

Four casas are restored fishermen homes on the 16th century town green called the Quadrado, while six others sit in a lush garden.<\/p>

Essential Uxua themes include the use of eco-friendly materials and local building techniques, architectural solutions which make the most of tropical breezes, natural light and beautiful views, objects made by members of the local Patax\u00f3 indigenous group in the d\u00e9cor, and smart design elements such as flat screen TVs embedded in vintage travel trunks.<\/p>

Each casa has an indoor\/outdoor living room, a full gourmet kitchen, and one to three bedrooms. For a stunning effect, 40,000 green quartz pebbles line the swimming pool.
